Seasonal & Regional

When each pest peaks through Pakistan’s seasons, from the monsoon surge to winter rodent movement, and how pressure differs city by city.

Pest pressure is seasonal, and it is not the same in every city

Aedes mosquito activity climbs through the monsoon and peaks roughly July to September. Termite swarming follows the first heavy rain. Rodents move indoors as temperatures drop through December and January. Timing treatment to those curves costs less and works better than reacting once an infestation is visible.

Karachi’s coastal humidity keeps drain-breeding species active close to year round. Lahore and Islamabad swing harder between seasons, with a real winter drop and a correspondingly stronger rodent push indoors.

One caveat applies to every chart in this hub: the Pest Pressure Index is built from known pest biology and Pest Orbit Pakistan’s field experience. It is practitioner judgement, not trapped-sample data, and should be quoted that way.
